Detox Collard Green Wraps

Here is a great recipe that I really enjoy, which just so happens to be very detox friendly. It is full of detoxifying vegetables that will enhance liver function and clear out unwanted energy-zapping toxins. It is also a very filling and satisfying meal, so I do recommend you try it!

Detox Collard Green Wraps

Ingredients:

  • 1 large Collard green leaf used as a wrap
  • ½ cup Purple cabbage
  • ½ cup carrots
  • ½ cup quinoa or brown rice
  • ¾ cup roasted chicken (tempeh is a good vegetarian option)
  • 2 tbsp hummus
  • 2 tsp tamari sauce

method of preparation:

Cook quinoa or brown rice as per package instructions or to desired consistency. Chop cabbage and carrots finely. Spread hummus on open-faced collard green and pour tamari over hummus. Place chicken, grain, carrots and cabbage in the centre of the collard green leaf and then wrap tightly. Makes one large wrap or two small.
