The Coaching Process

Think of me as your guide and support over the course of your nutrition journey. Effective coaching requires an on-going relationship and as such I work with clients for a minimum of 12-weeks and for as long as they need. This allows us to create meaningful and sustainable change. Here’s what the process looks like:

 

Initial Intake, Assessment and Set-Up

Step 1 – Initial Intake and Getting to Know each other

We’ll take a deep a dive into your current nutrition, fitness and lifestyle habits. We’ll explore your goals and vision for your ideal outcomes. I want to really get to know you so I can get a clear understanding of your likes & dislikes, communication style and what makes you tick. All of this information will help me better serve you and together we can craft a plan that works for your needs.

Step 2 – Defining our relationship

We’re going to determine the following things:

  • How often we meet
  • The duration of each meeting
  • The structure of our meetings
  • Where we’re going to meet (in-person, phone, skype)

Step 3 – Defining our communication methods and set-up

You’re going to have ongoing communication with me, which will often include technology (smart phones, tablets, computers). We’re going to get set up in a simple way that works well for you and the technology you have available. You’ll be able to reach out to me, get ongoing guidance and I’ll be able to share resources and action items with you.

Don’t worry if you’re not tech savvy! I am and we’ll take care of business.

Step 4 – Baseline Data and Determining Metrics

An important part of our work together will be knowing if what we’re doing is getting you the results you want. We will determine the ways we will measure success and take collect our baseline metrics. Examples of data are body weight, body measurements, perceived energy levels etc.

Step 5 – Initial Resources and Action Item

As part of our initial set up you’ll get a custom quick start guide to start learning about fundamental nutrition habits that will set you up for success. We will also determine your first step in moving towards your goals and outcomes.

Ongoing Coaching

Text and Email Support

Over the duration of our work together you have my full support. This means that you can reach me by text or email so you’ll have your coach by your side every step of the way.

Regular Check-in Meetings

With all of my coaching packages I offer an hour of coaching meetings monthly. This can be set up in whatever way works best for you. You have the option of meeting with me for a full hour once per month, 30 minutes twice monthly, or 20 minutes three times monthly. These meetings can be over the phone, over skype or in-person (depending on your location). Whatever your situation we’ll make this work for you. With regular, ongoing coaching you can rest assured you will have the accountability and support needed to achieve the results you’re looking for.

Pricing: $150/month + HST
